J.H. Fuch’s Meat Market
Fuch’s Meat Market was created by husband-wife duo John and Gertrude Fuchs. Like most families of the time, they lived within the same building as their store.
This location was the first of three, which included the 2500 block of North Shepherd and 5801 Washington Avenue.
Bonus: if you look closely, the little boy in the picture’s bottom-left corner may have been named “Tommie.”
